World Media Forum Inc. Institute

The Institute was established in 2008, as part of the WMFInc, with a mandate to conduct collaborative, policy-oriented inquiry into field of Human Rights and a broad spectrum of inter-related issues encompassing international governance, the social environment, media studies and sustainable development.
 

Building on the work done by the World Media Forum Inc. and existing base of interdisciplinary expertise, the WMF Institute provides a vehicle for bridging scholarship with the needs of policy-makers for succinct and insightful analysis in response to the critical challenges of global change.
WMFI Institute explores the following three areas of study:

  • Human Rights Advocacy
  • Create policy papers on social issues
  • Use of media in addressing contemporary/social issues facing communities

In addition to a team of associates, the WMFI Institute sponsors multiple student internships, and maintains a network of international subject matter research experts, with whom it collaborates on a project-to project basis.
