About Us

Who we are?

WMFI (World Media Forum Incorporated) Institute is a think tank researching and publishing information on contemporary issues.  The information is based on peaceful teachings of Islam, as interpreted by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the Founder of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at and his successors.

What is our objective?

Our objective is to promote and advance Islamic principles as interpreted by Hadrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (a.s.) and his successors.  This mandate is supported through:

1. Informing general Canadian population about Ahmadiyya Muslim perspective on contemporary issues, including challenges faced by Ahmadi Muslims across the world; 

and

2. Assisting to convey the Islamic perspective to various key communities including Intelligentsia, academia and NGOs.

What does this mean to you?

1. How does our mission help Canadians?

A. One of the role WMFI plays is that of a Social Advocate.  In this capacity our mission is to understand condition of various ethnic and non-ethnic groups and work with related NGOs and Government organizations to promote equality and inclusion. 

2. How do our objectives tie into existing media, think tanks and NGOs?

A. Our guidance and teaching is based on humanitarian grounds, as established by the Holy Qur’an and taught by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at.  This gives us the moral and ethical ground need to navigate sensitive grounds.

3. Why should an average citizen care?

A. Every one of us is linked together in more ways than one.  Our moral and ethical decisions and actions today will result in stable and stable society tomorrow.  As an average citizen of non-ethnic group, your principles of human rights and social justice are much needed to advance harmony in the society.

What we do?

At WMFI Institute we:

1. Study human rights and promote protection of such for all world citizens;

2. Work with decision makers to establish creation of framework for democracy, peace, justice, 

equality and freedom of faith; to ensure protection of human rights

3. Publish literature that supports the mandate of WMFI;

4. Create awareness of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community within Canadian society; 

5. Develop relations with Intelligentsia, Academia, NGO & NPO, other think thanks, Diplomats and 

Ethnic community associations; 

6. Conduct surveys to understand social issues and changes affecting the Canadian society;

7. Create publications (print or electronic) that identifies WMF Inc. concerns and outline solutions;

8. Work with security and policing institutes to raise cultural sensitivity awareness.

What have we done?

In Atlantic Canada, we are working with various communities that have sponsored Syrian refugees to help the sponsors understand depth of responsibility as well as give the new comers to Canada a chance to thrive and contribute positively towards Canadian society.  

Rotary club and RCMP are just some of the organizations that have reached out for assistance.
